Domaine Daniel et Julien Barraud is not only the source of Vergisson’s finest organic wines but also is the standard for world class white Burgundy from the Mâconnais. Encircled by the emblematic rock of Solutré and Vergisson, Domaine Barraud is situated in a village classified as Grand Site de France - Great Sights of France. The petit hamlet of Vergisson, with its limestone soils and high-altitude vineyards, is where the region’s finest wines are made. In order to obtain the most healthy and wholesome grape possible, harvesting is done by hand, limiting oxidation.

Macon-Chaintre 'Les Pierres Polies'
The Macon region is the southernmost part of burgundy. The area is rich in sea shells which gives the wines their signature saline minerality.
The Macon Chaintre “Les Pierres Polies” by Domaine Barraud is a fantastic “entry-level” white Burgundy from the family that has defined Vergisson greatness for generations.
Basically there’s nothing basic about this wine, chock-full of powerful lemony energy and lots of mineral edge. A gorgeous wine for summer and all year round in India. Ticks all the right boxes. I have no hesitation to recommend this wine highly for the value buyer.

Cultivated on scree, gryphea limestone and clay-limestone soil, Alliance is an assemblage of parcels planted 40-60 years ago.
The wine is mineral and fruity. It has great potential for aging up to 7 years, but can be enjoyed young as well. This wine shows finesse and elegance which express its rich terroir. Its aromatic complexity distinguishes itself with an exceptional minerality.
