Delamotte is the 5th oldest champagne house founded more than 250 years back by Francois Delamotte. Chevalier Nicolas Louis Delamotte, organized in 1825 the splendid celebrations for the coronation of Charles X, King of France.
It is the sister house of Champagne Salon, considered the greatest expression of a Blanc de Blanc from the Grand Cru terroir of Le Mesnil sur Oger planted to 100% Chardonnay. With its chalky soil and cool climate, chardonnay reaches its greatest heights bringing freshness, acidity and complexity that is unrivalled in any other region.

Perfect Setting
We tasted all expressions of Champagne Delamotte starting with the Brut followed by Champagne Delamotte Blanc de Blanc. This was followed by Delamotte Blanc de Blanc vintage 2008 and finally we ended with a Delamotte Rose paired with the dessert.
